What is the process of creating a website with Tanou Diallo of OptMaze? Here is an overview.
Planning & Research
I will ask you to tell me about your business to help me determine your goals for the Website. We will then go over Website content, functionality, design, Search Engine Optimization, Web hosting, website data analytics, and maintenance. We will also discuss your deadline to launch the Website and budget. This one on one discussion will determine which services you will need, and will also enable me to provide a project cost estimate.
Contract and Agreements
I will prepare and submit a Website design contract for your review and approval. We will have a few days to go back and forth if need to.
Rounding up the team
Based on your website requirements we will determine during planning and research, I will assemble the team that will create and maintain your website. Including at least one member of your organization, myself, and any other professionals we might need to involve, such as copywriter, photographer, graphic/logo designer, etc.
Spirit of collaboration
While I am the specialist in charge of developing your website, I will need your help to create your website efficiently. I will need contents (text, photos, video, etc.) as well as some directions, and your feedback. You will frequently receive emails or phone calls from me giving you a progress status update so that we may make changes as necessary.
Reviewing, testing, and training
As we approach the completion of the Site, we will review its content, functionality, and design. Here too I will need your cooperation, as it is in both of our interests for the website to look and work as intended.
Also, I will dedicate some hours to provide you with free training, either at your place or online. I do encourage that this training be face to face. And many of my clients have preferred this method for an apparent reason.
When it is time, we will officially launch the website. The process can be simple or complex, based on the size of the new website, and depending on whether or not this is a redesign of an old Website.
Unlike a giant billboard that is static and may only be changed once every five years, your website will be interactive, and subject to amendment and updates. It will be a key player and an integral part of business’ daily operations that will ultimately decide the fate of your entire marketing efforts.
Your website needs to be fresh with constant updates of content for the sake of its visitors, the search engines, and your revenues. Performance metrics (website ranking, conversion rate, frequency of visits, etc…) will regularly be questioned and analyzed using advanced Web analytics. Adjustments will be made to the website as needed to keep it relevant and well-optimized for the search engines. You will also feel the need to create and monitor social media campaigns, to help consumers find you and share your content with the wider public. And finally, the website’s platform (WordPress) requires maintenance that comes in forms of updates and periodic backups.
If you have questions about this process, please contact me. And I would be happy to explain.
